... a cryptographic library for the J2ME platform
... assures security on constrained devices
Micro Foundation Key Features
Patterned after the Basic Structure of Sun's Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME) Configurations - The Phaos Micro Foundation Toolkit consists of two sets of libraries that are built specifically for the two current J2ME configurations - CDC and CLDC.
Bringing Security to a Range of CLDC and CDC Devices - As a CLDC-compatible toolkit, Phaos Micro Foundation supports devices that have unreliable network connectivity including PDAs, car navigation systems, smart phones, smart home appliances, hand held gaming machines and other items. The toolkit also is designed for CDC devices with at least 32 bit processors and a relatively stable network connection, such as set top devices and high end handhelds.
Developer Customizable - The developer can select what operations and algorithms to use. A complete CDC installation is approximately 120KB, but the size can be reduced to 10KB depending on the algorithms that are needed.

“Through their PKCS#11 Partner Program for Java, Phaos clearly has recognized smart cards as a vital component of security for the Internet and business-to-business applications. As a pioneer in developing smart card solutions that secure Public Key Infrastructure and protect business-to-business transactions, Datakey is excited to be a part of this important program. Java developers now can easily take advantage of Datakey’s industry-leading 32K smart cards - the only to receive FIPS 140-1 Level 2 certification - to provide rock-solid, two-factor security for their applications built around Java.”
